I am currently licensed in the State of Kansas as a Licensed Professional Counselor under the clinical supervision of Charmetrea Bell, Ed.S, School Psychologist, LCPC-S as I work towards obtaining my clinical license in the field.

Clinical Bio:

You’re the person who holds things together. You think deeply, show up for others, and keep going even when you’re exhausted. Maybe you’ve been the caregiver, the “old soul,” or the one who learned early how to be competent instead of cared for. On the outside, you’re functioning. On the inside, you may feel burned out, overwhelmed, or quietly grieving something you never had space to process.

I work with thoughtful, often neurodivergent adults, including people with ADHD, autistic traits, former ‘gifted kids,’ caregivers, and over-functioners. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. My approach is relational and trauma-informed, with a focus on burnout, grief, perfectionism, and patterns that keep you stuck in survival mode.

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. We’ll move at a pace that respects your nervous system and your history, while gently making room for more clarity, self-compassion, and ease. If this resonates, there is space here to begin at your own pace, even if you don’t have it all figured out.

I use trauma-informed, relational approaches that focus on more than just talking things through. Therapy often helps bridge the gap between understanding something intellectually and actually feeling it, so insight leads to emotional shifts and meaningful change rather than staying stuck in your head.

License: LPC 04595

Clinical Bio:

If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious you' re not broken you're human.

Many people come to therapy thinking emotions need to be controlled or shut down. In my experience, it often works differently. Emotions are part of being human, pain, sadness, anger, joy, even happiness can feel scary when you’re used to surviving. (Overthinkers, overachievers, neurodivergent people, burnout-pattern people, and trauma survivors… I see you.) Therapy is more than validation. It’s about learning how to move through life WITH your emotions instead of fighting them or hiding from them, and building self-compassion and self-trust in the process.

My approach is integrative, and I pull from CBT, DBT-informed tools, MI, solution-focused, and nervous system-informed work.

I often describe healing like untangling a bag of yarn you didn’t choose, but inherited. Sometimes we untangle it, sometimes we honor how hard you’ve worked to survive, and sometimes we take out the scissors and choose a new way ahead.

At times we get so focused on the trees we forget we’re in a forest. Or we think it’s a forest, and we’re actually just lost in a Home Improvement store surrounded by fake plants. Either way, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy works best when it feels real. I’m warm, direct, and approachable. I’ll challenge you gently and use humor if it helps!
